Guide to Gaining Admission to OAU JUPEB Programmes

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife is one of the universities in Nigeria you can gain admission to without JAMB UTME. The programme that allows you to skip the UTME hurdle is called JUPEB.

I had once posted about gaining admission to universities of your choice without UTME. You can check it out.

I saw the need to talk about it because I was aware only a few admission seekers are aware of the programmes which is the short-cut to admission to 200 level of the universities participating in Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).

This post is a guide on how to apply for the OAU JUPEB programmes and right below the entire post I give you the link to check if OAU JUPEB form is already on sales. But before that, won't you rather know what you need to do or put in place to be given admission first?

Are you Qualified for OAU JUPEB Programmes

Applications are yearly invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme.

Eligibility

Eligible Candidates must possess minimum of 5 Credits at maximum of two sittings in at least 5 subjects (inclusive of English Language) relevant to the candidates desired course of study in the University.

The Programme leads to the award of JUPEB Certificate which enables candidate gain Direct Entry admissions into Obafemi Awolowo University and other Universities in Nigeria.

Duration

The duration of the Programme is a minimum of one academic session of two Semesters.

Available Subject Combinations

Not only for OAU, other universities particpating in JUPEB require you to be groomed and write the following subject combinations. These are the subjects you will be tested in the final exams.

 Any of the following subject combinations as applicable: BCP, CMP, EGL, EGM, GMP, GLR, MGE

Environmental Design & Management

  2. Geography, Mathematics, Physics (GMP)
  3. Mathematics, Geography, Economics (MGE)

Law

  1. Government, Literature-in-English, Religious Studies  (GLR)
  2. Economics, Government, Literature-in-English (EGL)

 

Pharmacy     

  1. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (BCP)

Sciences     

  1. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (BCP)
  2. Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics (CMP)

 

Social Sciences     

  1. Economics, Government, Mathematics (EGM)
  2. Mathematics, Geography, Economics (MGE)

 

Technology     

  1. Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics (CMP)

 

College of Health Sciences     

  1. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (BCP)

Candidates are to note that the above listed subject combinations meet the requirements (as applicable) for admission into Degree Programmes in the Arts, Sciences and Social Sciences courses in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and other universities in Nigeria.

Method of Application for OAU JUPEB

  1. Pay the Application fee through e-Tranzact Payment Platform at any branch of First Bank, Skye Bank, Wema Bank or UBA Plc Nationwide. A Receipt which contains a Receipt Number and Confirmation Order Number will be given to you at the Bank. (Please note that Bank charges are to be paid).
  2. Go to OAUCDL website: (www.oaucdl.edu.ng) and Click on: "JUPEB" and read the Instruction carefully. Create your account by clicking on "Apply Now!". You are to supply valid username, password, email address and other required information.
  3. After creating the Account, login back into your Account with your username and password.
  4. Make payment at any branch of First bank, Skye bank or UBA via eTranzact network
  5. Fill the online Application Form and upload your recent passport photograph. The passport photograph must meet the following specifications:
  6. The passport photograph must be coloured with white background (Black and white photograph is not acceptable).
  7. The passport must be recent (not earlier than 3 Months before the time of the application) and the size should not be more than 100KB.
  8. After filling the form, logout and keep your username and password safe. (Save your Username and Password on your Phone so as not to forget). Keep checking the website from time to time for the actual date of the entrance examination.

General Information

  1. All Applicants are advised to to be checking our website from time to time for the actual date of the Preliminary Entrance Exam and other relevant information.
  2.  All Candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and PERSONAL Telephone Numbers.
  3. The forms must be filled and submitted on-line either immediately or within 2 weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
  4. Applicants are to note that JUPEB Entrance Exam holds at Ile-Ife centre (Moro Campus) only.
  5. Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the Correct SUBJECT COMBINATION. Failure to do so may adversely affect the Candidate.

Mount Kenya University (MKU) will start a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree; Accepting  Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Technology Mount Kenya University (MKU) will start a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree for students progressing from Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Technology following the approval of its plan by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

After Npower physical verification, What Next?

This is the question several preselected applicants in the 2017 round of Npower scheme had been asking on the body’s official twitter handle. The preselected 2016 N-build applicants are equally concerned about what the next course of action is.
N-power has initially made it clear that not all the 300,000 applicants shortlisted will be eventually selected for the jobs.
