Holders of higher national diploma (HND) in pharmacy are granted advanced standing in the BPharm programme. They get credit waivers in the first and second years of study and may join the BPharm programme in the third year.

Studies are scheduled for four days per week (Thursday to Sunday), exclusively at the Thika campus.

Course assessment will involve continuous tests, practical work, bedside exam, oral exam and end of year examination.

College of the Ozarks Cost of Education Scholarship
Each student participates in the on-campus work program for 15 hours per week and two forty-hour work weeks per year.

Credits from participation in the work program, any federal and/or state aid for which students qualify, and the C of O Cost of Education Scholarship combine to cover the Cost of Education.
There are no student loans involved and there is no cash due from students for Cost of Education : Only good, solid, hard work.

Unique in Higher Education
Friends of the College believe in and support what our unique institution stands for: Hard work, Christian values, freedom from debt, and higher education in a Christian setting.

Their contributions enable the College to provide Cost of Education scholarships.
When you accept an offer of admission to College of the Ozarks, you make a commitment to uphold the standards of an institution that is different from the norm.

C of O is not a school where drinking and partying is acceptable, nor is it a place where unwholesome attire is the standard.

It is a place where we believe you will learn and grow as a Christian, and as a future professional member of the work force. While many have chosen to lower standards, at C of O we have chosen to adhere to high personal standards; standards that we believe equip students to become successful contributors to society.

The C of O Cost of Education Scholarship is special because it comes from friends who believe in the College, and believe in you.

Ibadan Tech University Commences Operations Jan. 7. Scholarships to 66 Oyo Indigenes

Pioneer students of the Technical University (Tech-U), Ibadan will on January 7th next year resume academic activities, DAILY POST has learnt.

Vice Chancellor of the Oyo State owned university, Professor Ayobami Salami who made this disclosure said that many of those who applied for admission have received their admission letters.

He said ”Many of those who applied to study here have received their letters of admission,” reiterating that “Our pioneer students, will come into residence beginning from Sunday 7 January, 2018, for the promised unusual academic journey.”

He said that the responses of the general public to the affairs of the institution as published and broadcast by the media have been tremendously encouraging and revealing.

“We have in place a scholarship scheme known as Tech-U Scholarship Scheme. Three students from each of the 33 Local Government Areas in Oyo State have been admitted to this University through this scheme.

“We just did not ask the LGAs to provide these students. We asked each of them to nominate 10 qualified students who meet our requirements. We specifically requested as a condition that all of the 10 students must have graduated from public secondary schools; are indigenes of the LGAs; wrote the last UTME and scored at least 160; and have at least credit in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and either Biology or Agricultural Science.

“This is how we can really reach the underprivileged segment in the state. We subjected all of them to a competitive process (Computer-Based Test) which aligns with the culture of excellence and quality that Tech-U uncompromisingly favours. From this competitive process, we picked the best three candidates from each LGAs and recommended them to the state government for scholarship.

“Those successful ones constitute a consequential number of the students we are taking off with next month. As such, we have a university that provides a level-playing field for the privileged and the less privileged in and outside Nigeria, as well as a state government which privileges education for development,” he explained.

“‎Students arrival and beginning of full academic undertakings – signpost for us a historic watershed in our organised efforts towards making Tech-U fully operational”

“I wish to underscore the point that among the 15 courses are some that are relatively new in Nigerian universities. Take Cybersecurity for example. We want to be foremost in providing solution to the aches of cybercrimes in all its variegated colourations.

“You may already be familiar with the extant report that reveals Nigeria as the third country in the world, after the US and the UK, where cybercrime is prevalent. And sometime this year, President Muhammadu Buhari was reported as plaintively noting that Nigeria loses hefty billions of Naira to this notable crime annually.

“Similarly, our Biomedical Engineering seeks to fill the yawning gap evident in the lack of technical-know-how for the repair of high-tech hospital equipment. In our hospitals, it so often happens that when a machine breaks down, it becomes abandoned and a new one is bought. We intend to train the requisite manpower to help stem the tide of abandoned broken hospital apparatuses.

‎”There are other programmes like Software Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. With these and other courses, we want to make the idea of university as the bedrock of societal continual development much more realistic.

“In addition to the two faculties (Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Faculty of Natural Sciences) into which our programmes are situated, we also have two other centres, to wit, Centre for Language and General Studies and Centre for Entrepreneurial and Vocational Studies.

“One of the interesting activities at the Centre for Language and General Studies is the study of French by all our students. It is compulsory for all of them to register for training in French Language. There is an immersion component to the training which is expected to last for two years. The immersion will take place either at the French Village in Badagry or at Cotonou”.

US University with FREE Tuition for Nigerians. Berea is NO-TUITION

Are you seeking admission out of Nigeria and you want to consider the United States? It's equally challenging without better financial position. Won't you be happy if you have one rear opportunity to study in US FREE of charge?  Check out admission procedures for Berea College

Berea is the only one of America’s top colleges that makes a no-tuition promise to every enrolled student.

No student pays for tuition.
Our generous TUITION PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP makes it possible for you to graduate debt-free. Even if you borrow for special learning opportunities or to replace your family’s total contribution, you will have a low debt compared to national trends. We sometimes call Berea “the best education money can’t buy.”
Berea’s Tuition Promise Scholarship
All admitted students to Berea College receive our Tuition Promise Scholarship. This scholarship is combined with financial aid you may receive as well as any other scholarship you may be awarded by outside parties or organizations to cover 100% of tuition costs. For most Berea students, the Tuition Promise Scholarship amounts to nearly $100,000 over four years.

No student pays for tuition.
We are able to provide this level of financial assistance due to the generous support of alumni, friends, organizations, and others who believe, as we do, that a student’s income should not dictate their outcome.

So when you enroll at Berea, your scholarship will be provided by people you don’t even know who believe in your potential — and who know that Berea is well-positioned to help you realize that potential.

No-Tuition Plus Study and Work

Work Program + Federal and State Grants + College of the Ozarks Scholarship = your annual Cost of Education!
Cost of Education
The Cost of Education is the cost to the College for providing an educational opportunity for each student. Most institutions pass along a portion of this cost as tuition; this is not the case at College of the Ozarks.

On behalf of the University, the Cambridge Trust is offering the Cambridge International Scholarships to pursue PhD studies for 2018-2019 academic year. International students are eligible for these scholarships.

The aim of the Cambridge International Scholarships is to ensure that the 250 highest ranked students, irrespective of nationality, receive full financial support to undertake research leading to a PhD.

The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust was established on 1 August 2013 from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and theCambridge Overseas Trust.  These were established as charities by the University of Cambridge in the 1980s in order to provide financial support for international students on degree courses at Cambridge.

Today, the Trust is the largest provider of funding for international students at Cambridge, working with partners worldwide to support students of outstanding academic merit under a variety of scholarship schemes.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue research programme leading to the PhD (including CPGS) at the University of Cambridge.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in all available research courses at the University of Cambridge.
Scholarship Award: Full financial support to undertake research leading to a PhD.  The Scholarships pay the University Composition Fee and a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single person. In order to maximise the number of Scholarships awarded, the Trust will, when appropriate, promote winners of Vice-Chancellor’s Awards and Cambridge International Scholarships to other full-cost awards with UK Research Councils, or partner organisations, or Departments or Colleges, who are willing to provide either the full amount or part of the cost of the scholarship.  Where part of the cost of a scholarship is offered, the Trust will meet the balance.
Scholarship can be taken in the UK
Eligibility: These are guidelines on eligibility for scholarships

Status

  • The Trust will not normally support students at a degree level that is the same as, or lower than, a degree they already hold, with two exceptions – we will consider an application from a student who is required to take a second Masters degree at Cambridge in order to gain admission to the PhD here, or from an international (non-EU) student who is proposing to study as an affiliated student at Cambridge for a second BA degree.
  • The Trust does not have scholarships available for post-doctoral positions, or for visiting or exchange students.

After Npower physical verification, What Next?

This is the question several preselected applicants in the 2017 round of Npower scheme had been asking on the body’s official twitter handle. The preselected 2016 N-build applicants are equally concerned about what the next course of action is.
N-power has initially made it clear that not all the 300,000 applicants shortlisted will be eventually selected for the jobs.
