  1. All successful candidates are directed to check their names at their various State Police Command Headquarters for the Institutions where they are to be trained.
  2. The date of commencement of training is Friday 8th June, 2018
  3. Resumption closes on 13th June, 2018 in all the training schools.
  4. Failure to report at the Training Schools by 13th of June, 2018 will mean that the Candidate have declined the offer.

Nigerian Police has finally released the list of qualified applicants for the posts of constables. These luck applicants are to proceed to the screening stage. 

Now that Nigerian Police is set for the screening starting on 7th May, 2018 across the nation, you will want answers to some of your heart troubling questions.

See below some clues to the screening.
1. First check your name on Nigerian Police website at

You must print the page where your name appears. Mark your name number. They will ask for it at the screening center.

2. Go to the screening centre along with:
- Original and photo copies of your O'level results, local government identification, birth certificate or court age declaration, national ID card and any other relevant documents.
- two passport photographs, white T-shirt and Blue short nicker.

Successful candidates during this screening will proceed to exams stage and after that, the final list.

Nigerian Police Recruitment Instructions

  1. Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIN)
  2. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB with credit passess in English and Mathematics.
  3. Applicants must be aged between 18-25 years by March 2018.
  4. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67mtrs tall for male and 1.64mtrs tall for female.
  5. Applicants must print their completed online forms, guarantor form and submit it at the examination / screening and recruitment centre.

All applicants MUST have readily available scanned copy of their

  3. First school leaving Certificate or Primary School Testimonial
  4. LGA Certificate or Identification of State or local Government

Nigerian Police follows the same guidelines for their recruitment irrespective of positions except a few differences as follows:

  1. Cadet inspector applicants must be holders of OND or NCE
  2. He must not be older than 28 as at the time of recruitment.
  3. They will also be required to provide other information as for constables above.
  4. Police inspector are usually holders of Bsc and HND or higher.
  5. Age required of police inspectors is between 30 to 35.

After Npower physical verification, What Next?

This is the question several preselected applicants in the 2017 round of Npower scheme had been asking on the body’s official twitter handle. The preselected 2016 N-build applicants are equally concerned about what the next course of action is.
N-power has initially made it clear that not all the 300,000 applicants shortlisted will be eventually selected for the jobs. Some applicants will be disqualified because of certain irregularities including; over-age, lack of claimed qualifications/credentials and the likes. And the support team has promised applicants on the waiting list to be ready as replacement for such disqualified applicants.
